Hagerstown Jr.-Sr. High School (HJSHS) is home to approximately 600 junior high and high school students in grades 7-12 in Hagerstown, Indiana. Both junior high and high school students share one building—a setup that offers our junior high students the opportunity to try a wide variety of classes and extracurriculars as they begin to shape their academic careers.

Hagerstown Jr.-Sr. High School’s school day begins at 8:35 a.m., and our first dismissal bell rings at 3:00 p.m. Our daily schedule is structured into blocks, with students attending four classes each day for approximately 90 minutes per period. Classes are divided into “Purple” and “Gold” days, with students attending specific classes on each day.

As a part of the Nettle Creek family of schools, we share our district’s mission to educate the whole person by enriching the lives of our students both in and out of the classroom.

Whether you’re new to the area or are considering a transfer to HJSHS, we welcome new families and their students to visit our school. Contact the Jr.-Sr. High School office to schedule your personalized tour. We can’t wait to welcome you into the Tiger family!
