Chuck Avery

The Voice of Hagerstown Football for the past 40 years. Chuck announced football for 50 consecutive years. He began in Angola where he announced for 10 years before moving to Hagerstown to teach English. With his wife Michelle as his spotter Chuck called the game at Cory field for 40 years. Former Athletic Director Lloyd Michael said, “Chuck Avery was a great role model when I came to Hagerstown and helped out wherever and whenever needed.”
