2013 Inductee – Mark House
Mark A. House, a 1986 graduate of Hagerstown, earned three varsity letters in football while serving as team captain his junior and senior years and leading the Tigers to sectional and regional titles and a final four appearance in 1985. Mark earned All-TEC honors three times, was named to the AP 2A All-State team as a linebacker, and played as a South All-Star at the conclusion of his senior year. In addition to being one of the top football players in HHS history, Mark is also remember as one of the most successful Tiger wrestlers. He earned four letters in wrestling, qualified for the state meet two times, and finished sixth at the state meet as a heavyweight his senior year. Mr. House was offered an athletic scholarship to the US Naval Academy where he wrestled for four years, earning four varsity letters as a heavyweight. Mark graduated from the Naval Academy in 1990 and from National University in 1994. Mr. House served his country as a US Marine Officer from 1990-2010 and is currently a High School JROTC Instructor. Mark and his wife Allison reside in New Braunfels, Texas, with their three children, Ethan (9), Blaise (6), and Scout (3)
