2011 Inductee – Nelson Harrison
A beloved educator, coach, and role-model for 38 years with Nettle Creek Schools, Nelson Harrison coached five sports from 1966-1988: wrestling, basketball, tennis, football, and baseball. Nelson’s longest tenure came in wrestling and tennis as the head coach for 22 years. Mr. Harrison was inducted into the Indiana wrestling Hall of Fame in 1987 for the following accomplishments: 147 dual meet wins, 3 sectional championships, 4 TEC championships, producing dozens of TEC and sectional individual champions, and producing over 90 regional and semi -state wrestlers as well as 4 state meet qualifiers.
