Safe Routes to Schools - Parent Survey
The Town of Hagerstown and the Nettle Creek School Corporation are submitting an application to the Indiana Department of Transportation for a grant as a part of the Safe Routes to Schools Program. The ultimate goal of this program is to provide healthier and safer options for students to travel to and from school. As a part of the application, parents are asked to complete an anonymous (and short) survey about how their children get to and from school.

People Are Important Here!
Welcome to the new school year at Nettle Creek School Corporation. Each of us at NCSC is eagerly anticipating the educational opportunities the new year will bring. As the good news at Nettle Creek School Corporation spreads, more and more families are making NCSC their choice to provide the very best education for their children.
Meet the Houck family. Parents Scot and Heidi Houck are Hagerstown residents who send their daughters, Madison (Class of ‘13), Olivia (Class of ‘15), and Savannah (Class of ‘16) to Hagerstown Jr./Sr. High School. Younger brother, Samuel (Class of ‘21) is in fourth grade and older brother Alex (Class of ‘11) is a Hagerstown graduate and a sophomore at Anderson University. Mr. and Mrs. Houck describe Nettle Creek Schools as being close-knit and safe. Scot and Heidi believe that NCSC schools provide the family atmosphere that they feel is important. The quality of the academic program at NCSC meets Mr. and Mrs. Houck’s high expectations; and programs such as athletics, FFA and the Agriculture Department offer students a wide variety of opportunities that are “second to none”.

Hagerstown Elementary School welcomes Leland Waterman (Class of ‘25) and his family. Leland will be starting his school career this year as a Kindergarten student.

Leland’s brother, Dane, (Class of ‘22) is in third grade. While Leland and his family live outside the boundaries of Nettle Creek School Corporation, Leland’s parents, Jeffrey and Jennifer, have chosen NCSC to provide their sons the educational advantage that a Nettle Creek education provides.
We look forward to working with you and your family during this school year. If you are a returning family, welcome back! We have another great year planned. If you are a new family in the area or a family who lives outside of the Nettle Creek School Corporation district and who is determined that your child receives an excellent education, please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
