The Board of School Trustees of the Nettle Creek School Corporation met in regular session on July 26, 2011.
The following board members were present: Julie Blaase, Bob Clark, Chuck Golliher, Gary Keesling, and Jim Lewis
Absent: Elaine Hellwarth and Cary Rhoades
Also meeting with the board: Joe Backmeyer and Erin Riggle

The regular meeting of the Board of School Trustees was called to order by Mr. Clark at 7:30 p.m. in the elementary school cafeteria. Mr. Backmeyer certified compliance with the open meeting law.
Lewis/Keesling moved to approve the minutes from the regular meeting on July 13, 2011 and the executive session on July 13, 2011. 4/0/1 (Golliher)
Tonya Sparks thanked the board and the committee members for putting together a policy that addresses the presence of registered sex offenders on school property.
Lewis/Golliher moved to approve regular claims #1852 through #1981 totaling $654,557.63, and payroll claims for July 1st and 15th totaling $390,490.26. 5/0
Lewis/Golliher moved to approve the employment of Kelci Wright as a third grade teacher at the elementary school for the 2011-2012 school year. 5/0
Lewis/Golliher moved to approve the employment of Jennifer True as a guidance counselor at the jr. sr. high school for the 2011-2012 school year. 5/0
Golliher/Lewis moved to approve the employment of Margaret Rowlands as an instructional assistant at the elementary school for the 2011-2012 school year. Rowlands will be paid with Title I funds at the established rate for instructional assistants. 5/0

The following board members and administrative staff were in attendance: Julie Blaase, Bob Clark, Chuck Golliher, Gary Keesling, Jim Lewis, and Joe Backmeyer.
No subject matter in the executive session, other than subject matter specified in the public notice, was discussed by the governing body. The executive session adjourned at 8:39 PM.
