The Board of School Trustees of the Nettle Creek School Corporation met in regular session on April 24, 2012.
The following board members were present: Julie Blaase, Bob Clark, Chuck Golliher, Elaine Hellwarth, Gary Keesling, Jim Lewis, and Cary Rhoades
Also meeting with the board: Joe Backmeyer and Erin Riggle
The regular meeting of the Board of School Trustees was called to order by Mr. Rhoades at 7:30 p.m. in the administration office. Mr. Backmeyer certified compliance with the open meeting law.
Hellwarth/Blaase moved to approve the minutes from the regular meeting and executive session on April 10, 2012. 7/0

Clark/Blaase moved to approve the job descriptions for non-certified staff as presented. 7/0
Lewis/Golliher moved to approve regular claims #2849 through #2943 totaling $724,324.19, and payroll claims for April 6th and 20th totaling $423,376.70. 7/0
Mr. Rhoades presented financial reports for March 2012.
Golliher/Blaase moved to approve the resignation of Lori Gearhardt as a bus driver effective May 25, 2012. 7/0
Golliher/Blaase moved to approve the resignation of Danielle York as a special needs assistant at the elementary effective immediately. 7/0
Lewis/Hellwarth moved to approve the resignation of Danette Addison as a custodian at the jr. sr. high school effective April 27, 2012. 7/0
Blaase/Lewis moved to approve the resignation of Susan Moore as a bus driver effective May 25, 2012. 7/0
Hellwarth/Golliher moved to approve the resignation of Donna Monroe as varsity cheer coach effective immediately. 7/0
Lewis/Hellwarth moved to approve the request for Scott Snodgrass and the football team to attend a summer football camp at Hanover College, July 16-18. 7/0
Hellwarth/Lewis moved to approve the following summer athletic camps/clinics:
- Girls Golf (Ages 9-14) June 4-8
- Girls Basketball (Jr. High & H.S.) June 4-29
- Baseball (Elem & Jr. High) June 11-15
- Boys Basketball (Grades 2-8) June 5-8 & July 10-13

- Varsity $5.00
- JV & Freshman $4.00
- Jr. High $3.00

- Adult $ 55

Lewis/Golliher moved to approve Dakota Young as a transfer tuition student for the 2012-2013 school year. 7/0
Clark/Golliher moved to approve the request for a remediation program for nine students that did not pass the IREAD-3. Two Reading Recovery teachers and one additional teacher are needed for this program. 7/0

No subject matter in the executive session, other than subject matter specified in the public notice, was discussed by the governing body. The executive session adjourned at 9:05 PM.
