Today is a Purple Day.  Monday will be Purple.

Today’s Schedule:

Gold/Purple Day

Admit Bell:    7:50

Block 1:        8:00-9:25

Tiger Time:   9:30-9:55

Block 2:        10:00-11:25

Block 3:        11:30-1:30

Lunch A: 11:30-12:00

Lunch B: 12:00-12:30

Lunch C:12:30-1:00

Block 4:        1:35-3:00

 

Class Handbook Meetings will be next week.  Grades 7, 8, and 9 will be during Tiger Time on Monday in the auditorium.  And, grades 10, 11, and 12 will be during Tiger Time on Tuesday in the auditorium.  Everyone needs to bring their passbooks.

 

Teacher Assistants—TA forms are available in the front office.  Please use this form!  They are due back August 16, 2107 by 3 pm.  Please return them all filled out to the folder outside Mrs. Oliger’s room.

 

Peer Helpers—Any student interested in becoming a peer helper needs to stop by Mrs. Van Meter’s room to grab a form.

 

National Honor Society—Any current junior or senior interested in applying for National Honor Society should see Mrs. Van Meter. Applications are due Aug. 25th by 3:00pm. If selected inductions will take place on Sept. 13th at 6:30pm in the auditorium.

Any current NHS member interested in running for office needs to pick up an officer application from Mrs. Van Meter.

 

Junior High Volleyball—Last day for junior high volleyball tryouts is TODAY, Friday, from 3:10-5:00pm.

 

FFA—There will be a FFA call out meeting Tuesday August 22nd during tiger time! For new and current members in Ms. Hendrickson’s room!

 

Grades 9-12—The High School Volleyball teams are looking for responsible students interested in managing.  See Coach Swimm in Rm 214 if you are interested or have questions.

The 2016-2017 Epitome will be distributed TODAY during Tiger Time in the cafeteria.  If you have purchased a book, you will receive a pass hat will excuse you from Tiger Time.  2016-2017 books may be purchased from Mrs. Overfield for $50.  Students interested in purchasing a book need to email Mrs. Overfield for a pass to purchase the book TODAY during Tiger Time.  Orders are being taken for the 2017-2018 book at a cost of $45.  The price will increase to $50 beginning January 1st.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Overfield.

 

Junior High Cross Country—Attention junior high boys and girls interested in running junior high cross country. The first practice will be held Monday, 8/14, after school. Runners are to meet in Mr. Schmittler’s room (218) by 3:15 and practices will typically be over by 4:30. Please understand that no student may participate in practices without a completed physical form on file with the athletic office. The teams are also in need of responsible-minded managers. Please see Mr. Schmittler if you are responsible enough to handle times and record keeping.

 

Athletic Results

The Lady Tigers defeated Shenandoah and Knightstown tonight at Hartley Hills, Hagerstown 205, Shenandoah 216 and Knightstown 251. Emilee Thackrey lead the Tigers with a 46, Mattie Drew Doerstler 51, Stefani Burns 53 Megan Craig and Whitlee Garrison 55

The Tiger JV also defeated Shenandoah’s JV tonight by a score of 214 – 243, Sierra Searcy lead the scoring with a career low 44 followed by Maddie Phelps 51, Paige Stuart with a career low 59, Sophia Mull career low 60, Grace Richards career low 62 and Maddi Moore 65

The Tigers are now 5 – 0 on the season and next play at the Lapel Invite Saturday

The lines are different this year for lunch.  The line closest to the gym will be serving sandwiches and pizza and the line closest to the teacher’s dining room will serve full meals.
